Homecoming

Homecoming for Seniors –
An Idea to Promote
a great idea for your church is a homecoming for seniors. As a deacon in my church I want to promote senior communication. Also there are a lot of preconceptions of the elderly. One would say family values are the backbone of our nation. If you don't involve seniors in the family mode you're not using a natural resource. Not all seizures are religious which is a misconception by most young people. If you can involve them in your church there are other methods to involve them in the community. One way is to have them volunteer in community service. Usually young people respond well to seniors and community projects. Most of us seniors want to be useful. We can be by visiting the infirm. One problem with seniors this transportation. Some can get caregivers that drive. But this is not sometimes a good idea since we have problems with insurance unreliable drivers.. So what is the answer. You will find that you don't have to lock yourself up. Most seniors think that they are stranded. Many seniors don't realize that their agencies that will provide rides to and from doctors grocery stores and other places. Especially if one has disabilities you usually Lie to public transportation for point-to-point pickup. Another answer is organizations like people care in Riverside that provide free rides to local areas. You must as a senior investigate what is available. This is the first step in your battle to extend your range. Sometimes keeping your car insurance and sticker costs are not the best option. Even catching a cab is cheaper than the overall maintenance of your car and getting drivers for it. If you can drive your peace of mind may be stressed out. The highways are so busy that even professional drivers are at great risk. Why stress yourself out when it's cheaper to get a taxi or better yet a free ride from a friend, an organization, and public transportation.

So what am I telling you? Get busy and find transportation through information. This blog will help you. At least if you're not in the community covered you can get the idea where to look in your area for your needs.
